The data for the report has been compiled from Government sources including the Ministry of Power, Central Electricity Authority, Secretariat for Industrial Assistance, Planning Commission and the Economic Survey.
The report takes an in-depth review of the present performance of the power sector vis-à-vis its status prior to the liberalization process of 1991. It also looks the reform initiatives in the sector and the factors that are lacking in the sector.
