Thiruvananthapuram, the capital city of Kerala formerly known as Trivandrum is one of the best-planned cities of India. It is a well-connected city with other parts of India. The Sri Chitra Art Gallery houses the paintings of the Mughal, Tanjore and Rajput times plus the paintings from China, Bali, Tibet and Japan.
Kovalam beach is located 16 kms away from the city and is one of the most visited tourist spots.
Auvikkara, Pnmudi, Padmanabhaswamy Temple, and Veli Tourist Village are other attractions around the city.
