The booklet consists of a folded road map of north eastern states of India showing state headquarters, district headquarters, taluk headquarters, other towns, international boundary, state boundary, district boundary, railway line, national highway with no, major roads, other roads, trekking route and places of importance. The map also shows the neighboring countries like Bhutan, China, Bangladesh and Myanmar. Towards the bottom of this folded map the political map of India, the map of National highway of India, the railway map of India and the air and sea routes map of India are provided.
Besides this the booklet offers a brief overview of the seven states like Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Tripura and Nagaland in terms of climate, area, population, languages, literacy, state headquarter, districts, roads, airport, festivals and places of interest.
Information on national parks and wildlife sanctuaries in North East India is also included with an individual map on national parks and wildlife sanctuaries of Arunachal Pradesh.
